Naomi Parker, LP-MFT
In this fast-paced world, it's okay and even natural to feel overwhelmed and lost at times. Yes, life can be tough, but I believe that the resiliency of the human spirit is even tougher. My name is Naomi Parker and as a Limited Permit MFT and graduate from Capella University, I'm here and ready to offer a gentle hand to help navigate through life’s many moments of woes and “woah”s while also helping to create lasting positive life changes. With transparency, curiosity, and compassion as the driving forces of my practice, I am ever inspired to help individuals find their way to inner peace and personal growth.
For over 10 years I have worked with children, adolescents, and teens, aiding them through the hardships and emotions that accompany school, social life, peer pressure, sibling conflict, divorce, loss, and other strains of transitioning through the developmental life stages. I have also had the privilege in helping young adults, couples, and large family systems through symptoms of ADHD, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, perfectionism, and other human complexities.
As a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, I also take pride and careful attention to upholding an ethically sound method of treatment that utilizes a strength-based, humanistic, and collaborative stance. My approach is supported by theories of narrative, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, emotionally focused, and IFS therapy. Through my work and studies, I continue to experience and appreciate the vast uniqueness of every individual, so no matter how quirky or puzzling troubles may seem, know that you'll find a judgment-free zone where your thoughts and feelings are welcome.
Together, I trust that we can improve communication, manage boundaries, and build better habits of mindfulness and self-care to fortify your emotional well-being. So, whether you are adjusting to a new move or learning to move on, seeking heightened self-awareness or just trying to understand your partner better, when you are ready to turn your life struggles into stepping stones, I’m here, eager and equipped, ready to listen, support, and guide you on your wondrous journey of self-discovery.
